About

I am Dr. Marcos Cavalcante.

I have a vast experience teaching Classical, Jazz and Brazilian Guitar.

I have taught at Indiana University, Universidade Estadual de Campinas and at Northern New Mexico College. My experience teaching privately extends for four decades, in Brazil and the USA. I love teaching and I have many students that succeeded in music performance and teaching.

I hold a Doctor of Music in Classical Guitar Literature and Performance and a Masters of Jazz studies, from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Composition from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (São Paulo State, Brazil).

I look forward to serving you with high quality music lessons.
