Golden Tone Piano Service was founded in 2014, providing tuning services for the Greater Boston, Rhode Island, Worcester areas, as well as the Newport Jazz and Folk Festivals since 2015. S.G. "Kris" Krishnaswami is the sole proprietor of the business and Registered Piano Technician with over a decade of experience in the field and is now expanding their service area to Include Vermont, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. Kris received world-class training and certification at the esteemed North Bennet Street School at age 19, the Steinway & Sons factory in Queens, NY at age 29, and annually attends Piano Technicians' Guild seminars to keep up with a changing industry, expanding their knowledge and expertise. As the middle child of a Juilliard Masters, Kris learned to play classical piano from age 4, making them adept at understanding what a pianist truly wants from their instrument in no time. Kris is often asked to address and mentor current and recent students at the North Bennet Street program, a testament to their passion for sharing knowledge and the school’s recognition of Kris’s skills.
